Feeding Guidelines
Because Flint River Ranch premium quality pet foods are packed with nutrients, your pet may need some time to adjust. Try mixing Flint River Ranch with your pet's usual food, and increasing the amount of Flint River Ranch over several days. A sudden change in any food source may be a shock to your pet's digestive system. If you notice loose stool, reduce the amount being fed until your pet adjusts.
Dog and Puppy Feeding
Adult dogs should generally be fed twice per day, although food requirements vary depending on climate, breed of dog, and exercise activity. Feed an amount that will maintain your dogıs weight, and always have plenty of fresh water available. Feed a puppy younger than 4-6 months of age at least three times daily.

Cat And Kitten Feeding
Kittens can be started on Flint River Ranch by mixing the food with a little warm water. Feed food dry as soon as the kittenıs teeth are strong enough to chew hard food (8-10 weeks). Feed kittens about three times a day; after six months of age twice a day.
Adult cats (l year) can be fed once or twice a day. The amount your cat eats in 15-20 minutes is about the amount they should be fed at that meal. Adjust the food as you notice an increase or decrease in your petıs weight.
Storage Guidelines
All pet food should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place to reduce the chance of mildew spoilage and insect infestation. Although these problems appear in all food and pet food, they occur more frequently in natural pet foods.
- Keep products in their original bag.
- Store bag in a bug-proof, tightly-fitted lid container.
- Do not store bags and boxes on a cement or garage floor (moisture picked up from the floors can lead to deterioration).
- Roll down tops of open bags (to prevent over-exposure to air).
With these simple steps your Flint River Ranch products will stay fresh and viable for the needs of your pets until your next shipment.
If you prefer to empty the bags into a container, the container should be washed and dried each time it is refilled. New food placed on old crumbs can lead to decay and bacteria build-up. Also, food stored in "air-tight" containers will sweat—the same as if you were in a warm room without any air movement. Natural foods attract moisture quickly, which can turn to mildew spoilage in summer weather or in high humidity areas. Pet food needs some air circulation. When properly stored, natural pet food will have a quality shelf life of 5 to 6 months.
